Maternal / Child Health Program
What is it? Revival started its Maternal/Child Health Program (MCH) in 2004. This highly specialized program provides clinical support for mothers through difficult pregnancies, as well as high quality home care for newborns and pediatric clients up to eighteen years of age.
How does it work? The Maternal/Child Health Program combines skilled services designed to meet the specific needs of mothers and children.
Who should use this service? We offer services to high-risk or compromised Antepartum, Postpartum, Neonatal and Pediatric patients for a wide range of medical conditions, such as:
- Toxemia
- Pregnancy-Induced Hypertension (PIH)
- Pre-term labor (PTL)
- Type One Juvenile Diabetes
- Well-Mother/Baby
- At-home uterine monitoring
- Pediatric tracheotomies, colostomies, burns, wounds, surgical wounds, oxygen therapy, chest physiotherapy, injections, IV administration, head trauma and failure to thrive infants.
Our MCH nurse/supervisor has an impressive and extensive background in Neonatal Intensive Care Units, General Pediatrics and Pediatric Intensive Care. She has also worked with developmentally challenged children and in Pediatric Medical Offices.
Revival maintains its status as a resource on Mother/Child Health through a library that includes resource manuals, texts, journals, educational brochures, and videos on specific conditions.
